How to turn your LMIA application into Canada PR Visa?

Canada Immigration Authority assesses the LMIA application with an assumption that the applicant will stay in the country temporarily and contribute to the nation’s growth. And, LMIA process plays a vital role in selecting the most appropriate and qualified professionals for the Canadian Job Market. The Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document that gives the authority to Canadian employers to recruit skilled foreign workers. However, they must declare that no Canadian worker or permanent resident is available to do the job for this position.

The LMIA applicants enter the country with a job offer in hand with a hope to secure a successful career in the country. They must meet the below criteria if they wish to work for a Canadian company:

  • Educational and Qualification Documents
  • Work experience and skillsets
  • Language proficiency in English or French
  • Candidate’s Age
  • Job offer from a genuine Canadian organization

A positive LMIA application for your intended job in an occupation from NOC code A,B and C means additional 50 CRS points for the immigration score. A positive LMIA application for your intended job in an occupation from NOC code 00 means additional 200 CRS points for the immigration score

These scores will add to your existing CRS score, making you more competitive and closer to Invitation to Apply (ITA). And, there are three ways an applicant can get Canada PR Visa with a job offer and LMIA approval:

  • Canada Express Entry – Federal Skilled Worker Program
  • Canada Express Entry – Canada Experience Class
  • Provincial Nominee Programs

The applicants also can attain LMIA exemption if they want to skip the lengthy LMIA process. The LMIA exempt provision is managed by International Mobility Program (IMP). And, there are many permanent residency pathways where your job offer can achieve LMIA exemption:

  • Intra Company Transfer Visa
  • Canada Owner Operator Program
  • Atlantic International Pilot program
  • Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program
