- IRCC has officially opened the 2024 Canada Express Entry IEC pool, marking a new opportunity for international candidates.
- Citizens of nations with bilateral Youth Mobility Agreements can qualify for an IEC work permit.
- The department carefully selects candidates who meet all requirements and invites them to apply for a work permit.
- Canada aims to welcome approximately 90,000 candidates from 30 different countries.
IEC Pool Function:
- IEC is a temporary work permit program allowing candidates to reside and work in Canada.
- Three streams are available for work permits: Working Holiday, Young Professional, and International Co-op Internship.
- Eligible individuals within the age range can submit applications to IRCC, and selected candidates receive invitations to apply for a work permit.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Passport holder or citizen of 35 partner countries.
- Age eligibility varies based on nationality (18-29, 18-30, or 18-35, all-inclusive).
- A minimum of CAD 2,500 is required before entering Canada.
- Applicants must be admissible to Canada, and dependents should not accompany them.
