Manitoba invite candidates in RNIP Immigration Pilot Program

Brandon, MB kick starts accepting applications under Canada’s all new Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot program in the five-year pilot. As a community-driven program, the RNIP is designed to encourage rural migration in Canada by inviting talented foreign workers seeking to live and work in one of the participating rural communities in Canada.

Brandon is the second largest city situated in the province of Manitoba to start accepting applications for the RNIP, following the Sault St. Marie in Ontario and Altona/Rhineland in Manitoba. A number of other participating communities are also expected to start their application process later in 2020.

There is a total of 11 communities to participate in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Project (RNIPP) through which thousands of migrants are expected to arrive in Canada over the next few years. Once all these 11 participating communities will start receiving applications under the RNIP immigration pathways, the selected applicants can then apply to the federal government to obtain a permanent residency status in Canada.

RNIP- What’s in It?

It’s a five-year pilot program that will allow the city of Brandon to identify and select skilled workers with a valid job offer from a local employer to migrate and live in Brandon, MB. • Prove qualifying work experience or have graduated from a publicly-funded post-secondary institution in the recommending community
  • meet the minimum language proficiency requirements
  • You must have either a Canadian high school diploma or an educational credential assessment (ECA) report from a designated body, showing that you completed a foreign credential that’s equivalent to Canadian secondary school (high school).
  • Demonstrate enough settlement funds to support your transition into the community
  • Be genuinely committed to live and work in the community
  • meet other community-specific requirements

In addition to the above, prospective candidates are also required to obtain ‘Recommendation’ from one of the participating communities in the pilot program.

The authorities consider the following parameters while deciding whom to recommend:

  • Your genuine desire to live in the community
  • Your skills whether it’s best fit as per the economic needs
  • Job offer letter from a local employer
  • Your professional experience and your ties to the community

Selected applicants will be then recommended further to IRCC for a final decision on Canada PR visa. These newcomers will also be connected with organizations providing local settlement services and mentoring opportunities for a seamless transition into the community.

Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot program is an awesome pathway for skilled workers who want to fulfil their dream of Canada immigration. All they need is match their skills with local job vacancies and grab a job offer from an employer residing in one of the participating communities.
