Latest Express Entry Draw – 202 invited under SINP!

As Canada continues to invite more and more foreign skilled professionals and set ambitious immigration targets, 2019 seems to be a busy year with many updates and changes unfolding for Canada immigration. On May 1, 2019- Saskatchewan immigration authorities issued invitations to nearly 202 skilled workers to apply for its provincial nominee program. The invitations are granted to applicants with a valid work experience in any of the seven below-mentioned list of occupations as per the Saskatchewan in-demand list. Candidates with a minimum score of 67 are invited under this draw.

The latest draw witnessed around 202 invites issued via the Federal Express Entry-Linked Stream. No job offer was required under the program, however, work experience in any of the occupation was one of the key requirements for SINP’s Express Entry as well as Occupation In-Demand sub-categories.

Before conducting this draw, the SINP removed the NOC 1226 (conference and event planners) from the in-demand list. This is SINP’s second draw to invite foreign professionals with experience in specific occupations. Earlier, the draw held on April 17, 2019 saw only candidates with work experience in four occupations, all of which have been removed from the list now.

In order to apply under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program, must submit an Expression of Interest and register separately for SINP. In order to create an EOI profile, prospective applicants are required to provide information related to their age, education, work experience, IELTS score, or if they have any connection in the province. The connection could be in the form of family, friends, job experience, or study in Saskatchewan. Each profile is under the Express Entry System is assessed and evaluated against a pool of candidates and scores are then given to applicants whose attributes are similar as per the Saskatchewan’s labour market needs.

Candidates with the highest scores are issued an Invitation to Apply for the provincial nomination for Canada permanent residence visa.

Applicants who have applied through the Express Entry and have received a nomination from the province are eligible to claim 600 additional points toward their CRS points.
