Towards Normalcy: Canada to ease border restrictions soon

After a long exhausting fight with the pandemic, the time has come when things are headed towards pre-pandemic levels. As per the recent events, the Ottawa’s Government declared that fully vaccinated visitors to Canada would soon bypass the 14-day quarantine rule that includes a 3-day mandatory hotel stay. Alternatively, a negative COVID-19 report on departure and another test on arrival would suffice. The visitor, however, needs to isolate until the test’s result is confirmed.

An important thing to notice here is that the travelers who have received the Canada Health approved vaccines, Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson, will be given relaxation from 14-day quarantine. However, the list of approved vaccines shall be updated with time, and more vaccines are expected to be added to the list.

Also, Canada’s permanent residents and citizens must stay in a hotel upon arrival for their 14 days quarantine. However, these restrictions may uplift soon.
