What are the Australia Investor Visa Requirements for 888B (Permanent) Visa?

The subclass 888B- investor stream is a permanent residency visa that permits overseas investors to continue their business and investment activities in Australia. The 888B is the second stage of the Australia subclass 188 visa, an investor stream (provisional) visa. You can apply for the subclass 888B visa once you have satisfied the basic requirements of your temporary 188B visa.

Since subclass 888B is a permanent residency visa, it requires an applicant to be nominated by a state or territory government agency or by Austrade on behalf of the government of Australia. You need not lodge an Expression of Interest or be invited to apply for the subclass 888B visa.

Step 3: Now submit the state nomination application for your state or territory and await an invitation.

Step 4: Upon receiving the invitation, you will have 60 days to gather all supporting documents and submit the visa application.

Step 5: Before the department decides on your application, they usually ask you to prepare health and police checks.

Step 6: The DHA will approve your visa once all the visa criteria are met, and the documents are satisfactory.
