General Skilled Migration (GSM) program is the most sought-after PR visa program in Australia as the majority of Australian PR visa hopefuls apply under the GSM category only. It follows a points-based immigration system and is preferred by most applicants because of its comprehensive design, organized process, and unbiased approach.

The General Skilled Migration comprises three primary visa pathways:

As a points-based visa category, subclass 189 is an ideal option for those who are not sponsored by an Australian employer or a family member. Australia subclass 189 visa applicants must obtain a minimum of 65 points on the point assessment.

Skilled Nominated Subclass 190 visa- this is a state-nominated permanent residency visa that also uses a points-based system to invite eligible applicants to Australia. Your occupation must be on the relevant list of occupations to apply for this visa.

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 491-The subclass 491 visa allows skilled workers to live and work in a designated regional area of Australia for up to five years. After three years, subclass 491 visa holders may qualify to apply for the subclass 191 visa for permanent residency.
