The Skilled Visa Stream has received the major portion compared to other categories, so this should be your safest option to immigrate to Australia from India.  If you meet the eligibility requirements and obtain the right score, your chances for receiving an invite are high.

 

To be eligible for skilled migration, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

 

  • Have work experience in one of the nominated occupations on Australia’s Skilled Occupation List.
  • Get a positive skill assessment of your education credentials by a designated assessing body
  • Submit an Expression of Interest.
  • Be under 45 years of age
  • Obtain at least 65 points on SkillSelect.
  • Meet health and character requirements

 

General Skilled Migration for Australia

 

Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189) – The pathway is for foreign workers who are not sponsored by any employer. You must demonstrate experience in a nominated occupation before applying for this visa.

 

Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190) – This is a state nominated permanent visa that allows nominated applicants to live and work in the sponsoring state in Australia.

 

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Subclass 491 Visa- it allows skilled immigrants to live and work in a regional area in Australia for up to five years.
