To be eligible, you must invest AUD 1.5 million in one of Australian states or territories   A state or territorial nomination is also a must for subclass 188 visa Australia.

Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa- Subclass 888:

This visa category is for individuals who have received the subclass 188 visa for at least years and commitment to continuing their business activity in Australia. To qualify for the subclass 888, you must either:

  • Hold a provisional Business Innovation and Investment visa (subclass 188) and have met the requirements of that visa in the stream in which you first apply, or
  • Hold a Special Category visa (subclass 444) or a Business (Long stay) visa (subclass 457IE) and have met the requirements of the business innovation stream.

 

An Australian state or territorial agency must also nominate you for this visa.

Business Talent (Permanent) Visa- Subclass 132:

The Business Talent visa lets foreign entrepreneurs establish or buy an existing business in Australia. Business owners must show realistic commitment to maintain ownership of their business and actively participate in its operations.

The subclass 132 visa is valid for five years, with future options for permanent residency in Australia. The Business Talent visa comprises two sub-categories:

  • Significant Business History: Designed for experienced business owners who want to undertake significant business activity in Australia.
  • Venture Capital Entrepreneurs: People who have obtained at least AUD$1,000,000 in agreed funding from an Australian venture capital firm, also an AVCAL member, to develop an innovation to a commercial stage.

 

What are the eligibility requirements for the Australia investment visa?

To be eligible for the investment visa in Australia, you must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Secure a nomination from a state or territory government agency
  • Receive an Invitation to Apply for this visa
  • You must be willing to invest in a business in Australia
  • Demonstrate a successful business management or investment career.
  • Have a certain amount of assets and a legal source of income.
