Are you stuck with a low CRS score? Are you wondering whether you will ever get a Canadian PR? If so, then there is an immigration pathway for you- Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program. Sounds unbelievable? But, it’s true. Saskatchewan PNP program makes it easiest to get a Canada PR visa as it has low CRS requirements and minimum eligibility criteria.

Saskatchewan’s International Skilled Worker: Occupation in-Demand and Express Entry

Located in Canada’s prairie region, Saskatchewan is one of Canada’s most popular immigration destinations due to its promising employment opportunities and robust economy.

Saskatchewan’s Occupations In-Demand and Express Entry Stream are part of the International Skilled Worker program, designed to hire foreign workers with experience in one of the in-demand occupations in the province.  The program invites skilled workers with the skills and abilities to fulfil labor needs in Saskatchewan. The In-demand category is available to applicants who do not qualify for an Express Entry profile.

To submit an EOI, a candidate must demonstrate at least one year of work experience in an occupation featuring on SINP’s Occupation List. Applicants must also have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be fluent in either English or French.

The SINP Points Assessment grid evaluates a profile based on 100 points. To qualify, an applicant must score at least 60 points out of 100. It’s worth noting that applicants must also submit supporting documents in favor of their application with the SINP. The point grid also ranks applicants’ express entry profiles and assigns them points. The highest-ranking applicants will receive an application to apply further for the program.

If many applicants have the same score, Saskatchewan applies additional criteria to select the applicants and prioritize their processing. If applicants have the same score, SINP selects them based on their connection to the province regarding education, relative, and work experience. SINP can also assess applicants based on their years of work experience and language skills.

Recently, Saskatchewan has introduced a new Tech Stream to invite highly-skilled immigrants.

The Tech Talent Pathway aims to support Saskatchewan’s thriving tech sector by addressing labor shortages in the province. Through this program, many tech employers in Saskatchewan will hire talented foreign nationals and boost the provincial competitiveness across Canada in the IT industry.

To be eligible, applicants to the Tech Talent Pathway must have:

  • Have a job approval letter from an eligible employer in Saskatchewan. The job must be related to the technology domain.
  • A minimum official language level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 5 if the applicant is not working in Saskatchewan when they apply or CLB level 7 if applying from Express Entry.
  • Demonstrate at least one year of full-time work experience in the past five years or six months working in Saskatchewan.
  • Have post-secondary education
  • Apply for a license in case of regulated occupation.

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program is an easy pathway compared to Ontario PNP program that requires high CRS scores. You can easily become a Canadian PR visa holder through this program.
